Online community manager

Position Overview

Join a fast-growing full-service social media company. We are looking for a self-motivated person who loves social media and spends a lot of time in all platforms. You must be a great communicator and enjoy working for a small company. You must also possess skills for online marketing. This position will be a full time position.

Your role will be to act as the brand ambassador, drive fan growth, and develop programs/promotions that drive sales/traffic for the client. You’ll create off-line programs and support client events with social interaction. You will make sure that the client is registered and have presence online. You will monitor conversation around specific brands and engage in conversation.


Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn, blogging, etc.)
  • Ensure that the client is represented well in all listings online as applicable
  • Establish review programs and profiles in the social space
  • Produce monthly activation programs to improve awareness around the brands
  • Proactively promote the content distributed by the creative writer for each brand
  • Support client events through social promotional programs
  • Manage integration around the brands in all platforms
  • Be available for client brand strategic planning and client meetings
  • Proactively communicate issues, opportunities, and insights to the team
  • Stay up-to-date on new social media tools, best practices and how other organizations and 
companies are using them, and with recommendations for new platforms to embrace
  • Come up with creative ideas that drive engagement and improve brand connection
  • Work with the account manager on client solutions
  • Review analytics for future improvements

  • Regular user of the current Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn, blogging, etc.)
  • Curious about new technology
  • Excellent communication skills
  • You love to write & enjoy sharing your ideas with others
  • You’ll be able to compile a weekly report of your interactions, sharing both qualitative data (raw numbers) and some qualitative analysis (what’s working well, what isn’t)
  • Project-oriented & creative skills — you are an independent, creative self-starter who loves running with things while keeping everyone in the loop
  • Self-motivated
  • You enjoy learning & are curious
  • Research-oriented
  • You are constantly looking for new ways to connect and evaluating the new rules of social media engagement
  • You are extremely driven to know all the new technology for improved results for our clients
